Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for managing all financial functions including: accounting, payroll, financial operations, employee benefits, insurance coverage, legal requirements and donor records. Essential Job Responsibilities Include
Leadership: Establish and implement policies and procedures for all financial management functions, ensuring appropriate controls and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices.Staffs the Board Finance Committee, reporting all Financial Statements at both Board and Committee Meetings.Drive banking relationships for both operating and investment accounts. Supervise Finance Department Staff. Oversee requisition process for operational expenses. Serves as member of the organization’s Leadership Team, working collaboratively with CEO, CSO, and COO. Works with IT Consultant to oversee technology inventory, anti-virus software, cloud maintenance, etc. Strategic Planning Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors to develop annual income and expense budget. Provide timely and complete reporting of financial results and recommendations for necessary actions to maintain the fiscal health of the Club. Work closely with Club leadership and managers to:
Maintain, analyze, and interpret general ledger for all funds; Manage the preparation and analysis of financial reports on a monthly and as needed basis. Oversee the process for identifying and evaluating opportunities for improved financial operations, record-keeping and reporting, working with external auditors to prepare and review audit schedules and annual report of audit findings. Resource Management. Lead organizational planning and development of operating and fund account budgets, and control expenditures against budget. Ensure the maintenance of financial records and record-keeping systems to ensure compliance with all regulations, generally accepted accounting practices and contractual requirements.
Recruit, select, manage and provide career development opportunities for staff and volunteers working within. Ensure a productive work environment within the finance and accounting function.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages and administers employee health and retirement benefits programs. Oversees payroll process and contract with outsourced to payroll company. Train Finance Department Staff in proper procedures regarding cash receipts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and budgeting as needed or requested. Attend meetings of Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Finance Committee, and others, as requested.Assist Unit/Branch Directors/Managers in budget preparation and management, as requested. Leads Club compliance efforts for reimbursement with USDA Food Program.
Salary Range: $75,000-$100,000
Chief Executive Officer
The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for providing leadership and direction in overseeing strategic planning and operation of the organization, in support of organizational mission and goals. Provides leadership, direction and support to the Board of Directors in developing organizational goals, attaining/allocating and managing resources, and establishing policies. Provides leadership and direction to staff management and partnership development in carrying out the key roles. Supervises the organization’s Leadership Team which includes a CFO, CHRO, CSO, and COO.
Essential Job Responsibilties -
Leadership, ensures the effective operation and delivery of programs within the Club and community: Supports the organization’s mission and principles. Maintains an environment that facilitates the achievement of youth development outcomes. Implements programs, services and activities that support youth development outcomes. Establishes and monitors adherence to policies and procedures
Strategic Planning - Implements a strategic planning process that results in the development and implementation of a quality strategic plan that is consistent with and supported by realistic annual budgets. Identifies and evaluates opportunities for improvement and implements plans for improvements. Ensures Leadership Team’s Annual Goals are aligned, collaborative, and set to achieve outcomes as stated in the Strategic Plan.
Board Development - Identifies, recruits, and develops engaged and effective Board Members . Ensures active participation by Board Members and supports effective board roles and functioning. Ensures Board committees are provided with the information and support necessary to fulfill their objectives.
Resource Development - Ensures the achievement of the annual budget by developing and implementing a Resource Development Annual Plan, which funds the organization with adequate cash flow for operations, and a growing reserve. Supervises the Director of Resource Development who coordinates fundraising events, gift acknowledgements, and grows/manages funder relationships. Identifies, cultivates and solicits high profile donors. Reports Resource Development updates to the Board on a quarterly basis, in collaboration with Resource Development Committee Chair.
Resource Management - Supervises CFO. Develops, implements and monitors the Club’s annual budget, in collaboration with CFO, including monthly reporting trends and analysis. Implements administrative and operational systems to support effective operations, including KPI’s and operational data dashboards. Ensures productive and effective staff performance, providing guidance, feedback and opportunities for professional development and an annual Performance Evaluation System. Has the authority to approve annual staff bonuses, based on the fiscal health of the organization, in accordance with the Compensation Policy.
Technology - Develops and implements plans for updating existing technology and resources in collaboration with external IT Consultant.
Partnership Development - Develops strategic alliances with community leaders and state and local officials. Develops collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, members, parents, families, funders and community organizations.
Marketing and Public Relations - Increases visibility of Club programs, services and activities and maintains good public relations.
Sr. Executive Assistant
Under the direction of the CEO, Executive Assistant is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. The focus areas noted below will require high energy and drive for community impact, while employing superior attention to detail, confidentiality, excellent communication skills, clear writing and copyediting experience, creativity, and the ability to represent the Club’s brand with pride and professionalism, at all levels, occasionally as proxy for the CEO.
The ideal candidate for this role thrives within ambiguity and craves a fast-paced environment as we are a growing company. You pride yourself on meeting deadlines and delivering while being highly flexible and adaptable to reprioritization of tasks. You are proactive and can self-direct to get things done efficiently and quickly, reaching out when additional clarity is needed. You have extreme attention to detail and a high bar for communication and clarity in your work.
Full Time Salary: $40,000-$50,000
Human Resources Director
The Human Resources Director is a full time, confidential role, responsible for managing and administering Club Human Resources functions, including recruitment and selection, benefits, employee relations and performance management. The Human Resources Director develops and spearheads Human Resources best practices providing an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes confidentiality, empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, diversity and inclusion, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior professional workforce. The HR Director reports to the CEO, while serving and supporting leadership and managers about Human Resources issues.
Full Time Salary Range: $50,000-$65,000
IT Specialist & STEAM Instructor
The IT Specialist and STEAM Instructor is responsible for the development and implementation of college readiness programming at the BGCAC Teen Center. This person oversees the BGCAC STEAM Strategy, including instruction at all sites. Demonstrates the ability to model, deliver, and craft rich student-centered learning experiences around.Creates lesson plans aligned with the STEAM strategy and work with the STEAM PA’s to facilitate assigned. Maintaining and sustaining of all Apple devices, including but not limited to Apple devices, robotics tool kits, etc.
Full Time Salary Range: $55,000-$60,000
Responsible for providing services to support BGCAC five core program areas: The Arts, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, Character & Leadership Development and Sports, Fitness and Recreation for children 6-18 years old across all three Club locations. During the academic school year (September through June) each Club operates as an after-school program; Program Assistants are scheduled from 1:30pm-6:30pm. If a Program Assistant chooses to opt-in for Summer Camp/Sessions, they are scheduled for shifts which increase to 35-40 hours per week from 8am-4:30pm.
Hourly Rate: $16.00, 25 hours a week
Youth Development Professional
Responsible for planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating youth activities that support BGCAC five core program areas; The Arts, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, Character & Leadership Development and Sports, Fitness and Recreation for youth 13-18 yrs old. M-F, Part-time after school hours, $16/hr, 22.5 hours a week. 2:30pm-7pm.
Hourly Rate: $16.00, 25 hours a week
Certified Teachers are responsible for providing an effective learning environment for youth ages 5-18 years old, to enhance various academic areas. Certified teachers help students combat learning loss from the pandemic. In addition, practice scaffolding through learning, helping our Club Kids and their parents, to climb each step proudly, leading to self-sustaining and satisfying futures. Certified teachers work Monday through Thursday from 3pm-5pm, up to 8 hours a week. Teacher Certification required, Atlantic City School Teachers preferred.
Hourly Rate: $42.00, 8 hours a week
