Chef Pam
Chef Pam Green has been instrumental in addressing community food insecurity by working with students and staff to ensure 150 kids receive a hot and nutritious meals nightly. With over 40 years of experience in the local hospitality industry, this hot-pink haired chef started as a Toast Girl at the Atlantic Diner at the age of 14. In 2001 she was offered a position at the Sheraton and was named the First Female Executive Chef in Atlantic City. She ran the department for 18 years, building strong community connections and loyal clientele. In March of 2020, Chef Pam was offered the position of Executive Chef for the BGCAC Food & Hospitality Program. Chef Pam’s leadership ensured that Club student members received hot and nutritious meals on weekdays during the school year where doors were opened for students to log on virtually with safe supervision and academic assistance when the schools were shut down. Now back to a normal school year schedule, Chef Pam continues to run the kitchen at the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City year-round, feeding over 150 students hot dinner nightly. She also mentors and leads teens as part of the hospitality program to give them workforce ready experience and credentials for restaurants.
